  • Hi! I’m Sarah…

I'll do just about anything to get "the shot"- except jail time or a trip to the emergency room (and have pictures to prove it!)

I have a degree in studio art and try to incorporate that creativity into every photo shoot.

Fabulous shoes are my soul-thing! I need a bigger closet to organize my collection of heels.

I would be unable to make it through my mornings without at least one cup of coffee.

My passion is to create unique portraits that capture the personalities of my clients.

I'm inspired by fashion magazines (W and Vanity Fair especially) Art (my faves are Matisse, Degas and Leibovitz) and my clients (naturally!)

I believe you're not like anyone else. Why should your senior pictures be any different?

Kayla | Glenwood Senior 2013

Kayla was so wonderful to photograph and work with! She has the sweetest personality and was willing to try just about anything during her photoshoot with me- Swooshing her prom dress so many times she felt silly, crawling through the fields and weeds and laying down in the middle of GHS’ soccer field! Thanks for being such a doll Katie!

Brette | 2013 New Berlin Senior

I just cannot gush enough wonderful things about Brette. She is the epitome of a tomboy (her mom had to convince her just to wear a touch of makeup for her shoot!), loves sports and is so level-headed and down-to-earth. We were cracking up throughout her shoot and I just love the way Brette’s eyes sparkle when she’s got a big grin across her face!

Brette was sweet enough to write a bit about her photoshoot with me:

“Sarah was easy to get along with, she was funny and real laid back. I really liked how informal things were. I have been around other photographers as they did sr. pictures for my brother and my best friend and everything was very formal and i felt uncomfortable. With Sarah everything was comfortable and easy. My photoshoot was really fun. We went to the skatepark and took pictures with all the bright colors then we did some more laid back pictures with my Jeep. She was very willing to listen to my ideas. We then traveled to a friends house where we took pictures with a tire swing. Very challenging for both of us! Tire swings move and that was not anticipated, they turned out awesome!! I really liked how my mom and Amie could be there and be silly to make me laugh and Sarah was fine with it. Sarah makes it so easy to be in front of the camera. It was very natural and fun. I loved every bit of it.”

Kathryn | 2013 Chatham Glenwood Senior

Kathryn is so artsy and creative. She was in my photography class at the Springfield Art Association a few years ago and we got to know each other- when she contacted me to photograph her senior portraits, I was ecstatic! I love her fun, goofy personality and her unique, hipster style- I want her entire wardrobe (and her concert tickets- this girl gets to see EVERYONE live)!

Kathryn was so sweet to share her NBP experience with me:

“I really liked trying to find unique spots to pose by downtown. I believe that Sarah captured my personality perfectly in my pictures, especially the one of me standing & laughing. I love that picture! At first I felt strange to be in front of the camera, but then Sarah talked while she was taking pictures and I felt a lot more comfortable. I loved getting to just be me and having her capture it on camera.”
