I was having a week. You know, one of those weeks where everything seems difficult, nothing is really going right and everyone seems to be grinding on your last nerve. Yep, one of those. And then yesterday after a full-fledged, snot-flying, terrible 2-year old meltdown, my mom looked at me and said: “Sarah, you have a great life. A sweet boyfriend, a family who loves you, a cute apartment. This is just a little bump.”
In the stressfulness of my week, I allowed these little things to overshadow the fact that I love my life. I’ve worked hard to create a life I love by surrounding myself with wonderful people, doing only the things that make me happy (I will, however, do dishes every once in awhile, wink) and to being a more positive person. To let a few bummer moments get in the way of my bigger picture is just too gosh darn unfortunate!
So, to re-center myself, here’s a lovely little list (along with pictures, naturally!) of some people & things that put a big smile on my face!
“Take a deep breath. It’s just a bad moment, or a bad day, not a bad life. Everyone has troubles. Everyone makes mistakes. The secret of happiness is to count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles.” Via: Marc & Angel

If you’re a 2012 Senior, it’s not too late to have some ah-mazing senior portraits before graduation! Give me a call at the studio to set up a consultation at 217.679.1757 or email me Sarah@nbpstudio.com.
And now, Gracie’s super creative Senior Pictures (to match her artistic personality!):

I absolutely adore working with Brette, NBPs Senior Model for New Berlin High School. She is quite the tomboy (mom had to convince her to put on the tiniest bit of makeup!) and is so relaxed and easy-going. Her gorgeous blue-green eyes and huge smile made my job so easy! Can’t wait for her big shoot this summer!

I fell in love with this quote as soon as I read it! This personalized, 8×8 framed, meaningful Mother’s Day gift is sure to bring Mom to tears on May 13th and can be displayed next to the framed or canvas Wall Art from your family or children portrait session. Your photoshoot can be scheduled before or after Mother’s Day (if after May 13th, I will set you up with a beautiful gift voucher to present to Mom) and is is a wonderful way to capture your family memories in a way that Mom will cherish forever.
